Seed Stitch

Seed stitch (also known as moss stitch) is a decorative texture composed of a checkerboard pattern of front knits and back knits. It produces a thin, balanced fabric with low-to-moderate stretch.

Seed stitch is sometimes used in borders as a 'stabilizer' to prevent the fabric from curling at its edges.
